Our roots
Vilja Ventures (Maha Growth Oy) is the personal investment vehicle and family office of Lauri Hartikainen.
What Vilja means
-
Finnish
vilja
Grain: a symbol of growth, nourishment and continuity. Also a traditional given name, quietly rising and rich with promise.
-
Swedish
vilja
Will and determination: the quiet, persistent force behind breakthroughs.
-
Lithuanian
vilija
Hope and a flowing river: moving with intention, not force.
The name is the philosophy. We invest in ideas that matter and build long-term impact, for generations to come.
Long-term ownership
As a family office we invest our own capital, on our own clock. There are no fund cycles and no pressure to exit. We look for businesses solving real problems, with genuine technical or brand differentiation, large market opportunities and competitive advantages that compound. Companies we would be proud to own for decades.
Founders lead, we support.
What we bring beyond capital
Our help is practical and hands-on, shaped by building and exiting companies ourselves.
-
Strategic clarity
Sharpening direction and product-market fit when everything still feels possible.
-
Commercial packaging
Turning technology into a value proposition customers understand and buy.
-
Go-to-market design
Finding the route to market and opening doors to early partnerships.
-
Early sales support
Rolling up sleeves from first pitch to first customers.
Lauri Hartikainen
Lauri exited Pointscene as Co-founder & CEO in 2023 through its acquisition by ARKANCE, part of the Monnoyeur Group. He now focuses on enabling early teams to build globally scalable companies, starting with clarity, structure and hands-on commercial support.
He is a member of FiBAN, the Finnish Business Angels Network, contributing to early-stage innovation across Europe.
